Michael Mockary, CPA

Michael began his career as a staff accountant for a CPA firm right out of college. After working there for several years in both tax and audit, he moved to a role as a financial analyst. In this role, he discovered a love for business development and financial analysis. Michael then began work in transaction advisory and outsourced CFO for businesses.

Throughout his career, Michael has been exposed to multiple facets of business, including accounting, tax, and financial analysis, which has allowed him to guide businesses and unlock their financial potential. A builder at heart, Michael loves to see others’ dreams come to life. His greatest skill is being able to understand the narrative behind the numbers and provide actionable insights to management.

Michael started his own CPA firm and outsourced CFO practice when he saw a huge need in the small-mid size business community - business owners who didn’t have the time or information to understand where their money was going and how to plan for financial success, and were losing out on thousands of dollars.

Michael is a Christian, husband, and father of 5, including two sets of twins. In his limited free time, he likes to hike, kayak, rock climb, and generally enjoy all that Boise has to offer. If he wasn’t a financial professional, Michael would probably open a food truck featuring gourmet breakfast foods.

Elijah started his career in the medical insurance industry after earning a degree in Health Administration. He soon transitioned into the business management sector, where he spent six years handling bookkeeping and medical records for high-net-worth clients. His work involved managing accounts payable, payroll processing, and financial reconciliations, as well as overseeing healthcare coverage for numerous clients.

Through his handling of high-profile clients with sensitive information, Elijah has developed a razor-sharp attention to detail and a warm, personal touch in every interaction. He is passionate about assisting others with his unique skill set and is dedicated to providing exceptional service.

Currently pursuing an MBA, Elijah aims to bring additional value to Citadel Accounting with advanced business knowledge and innovative strategies. He is thrilled to join Michael as a partner and looks forward to serving the Treasure Valley.

Elijah is a follower of Jesus, husband to his wife, Rebekah, and father to their son, Asa. When he’s not hard at work, he enjoys hiking, working out, and geeking over The Lord of the Rings with his family and friends.
